Some places stay with us long after we leave them.

A letter from Kelsey

Hi, I'm Kelsey.

I'm a photographer, storyteller, and lifelong collector of little moments that most people drive right past.

For years, photography gave me a reason to slow down. It taught me to notice the quiet things—the winding back roads, weathered fences, forgotten buildings, blooming wildflowers, and sunsets that last only a few minutes before disappearing again. Every photograph became a reminder that beauty doesn't have to be grand to be meaningful.

The Wandering Post was born from a simple idea: in a world that moves faster every day, maybe we need more things that ask us to slow down.

Each month, I send a postcard photograph from my travels along with a handwritten-style letter sharing the story behind the image, the memories it holds, and sometimes even the recipes, places, or moments it reminds me of. My hope is that opening your mailbox feels a little like receiving a postcard from a friend who couldn't wait to tell you about something beautiful they discovered along the way.

Many of these photographs come from places close to home along the Gulf Coast, while others come from road trips, backroads, and unexpected adventures. Some have stories attached to them immediately. Others reveal their meaning years later.

No matter where they come from, every image is chosen because it made me stop, look a little longer, and appreciate the world around me.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.

Wish you were here,

Kelsey

Every photograph has a story. Every road leads somewhere. Every month, The Wandering Post arrives with a new image, a personal letter, and occasional surprises inspired by the places I've wandered and the moments that made me stop and look a little longer. My hope is that opening your mailbox feels less like receiving a subscription and more like hearing from an old friend somewhere out on the road.
